Washington: Similar to Twitter’s ‘Super Follows’, Instagram’s photo sharing platform works with something that will allow creators to offer special stories to their fans.
According to Mashable, Twitter recently released a ‘Super Follows’ feature that allows users with a certain number of followers to offer exclusive content for a certain amount of money, such as YouTube membership.
Following this, Instagram also plans to release a feature of special headline news if the testing phase goes well.
Developer Alessandro Paluzzi broke the news by sharing screenshots of the feature on Twitter after which Instagram officially confirmed that the feature is active.
According to a ss shared by Palazzi, where regular user’s will fall into a special issue, Instagram story will tell them that “only members” can viewing the content.
Exclusive Stories will also be marked with a purple heart icon that will work just like how the current ‘Close Friends’ stories are written with a green star icon, Mashable reports.
Instagram can also prevent people from trying to take a screenshot of what they see and share with non-subscribers. The platform can also allow creators to store their special stories in ‘Highlight’.
