Well-known wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant diagnosed positive for Covid after participating in Euro 2020 in London. After Rishabh Pant a supporting staff Dayanand Garani who is net bowler and training assistant also tested positive. He is the latest member who positive in the team. Three other staff members have been quarantined into isolation because of being contacted with Garani. One of them is standby opener Abhimanyu Easwaran, one is Wriddiman Saha, who is a reserved wicket keeper and the last one Bharat Arun, the bowling coach.
According to a statement given by BCCI, “All four personnel will undergo in isolation of 10 days and will remain in their allotted room at team hotel of London. “
Other members of the Indian squad are routing to Durham. After 20 days of break all the members will reassembling in London and will reach Durham in the evening.
Rishabh Pant was tested positive on July 8. For last 8 day he has been in quarantine. The cricketer came into the contact with Virus During the England’s Euro 2020 against Germany. Match was held on 30th June. According to the Indian cricked board 23-year-old Rishabh Pant is asymptomatic.
