Taliban took districts in the northwest of the Afghanistan by fleeing the troops. They had march through the northern part of the Afghanistan which had gained a momentum all overnight along with capturing of few districts from fleeing Afghan forces. Officials also said that hundreds of them also fled across Tajikistan border on Sunday. Almost more that 300 Afghani military who crossed from Afghanistan’s Badakhshan province as Taliban fighters, this was the statement said by the National security of Tajikistan’s state committee. The afghani troops had crossed at about 6:30 pm local time on Saturday. The Taliban have already made strides all over the country still their most important gain was to be in the northern half of the country. A strong traditional hold of US-allied warlords who had helped them in 2001. By capturing the northern part of Afghanistan, Taliban is now controlling almost a third of all 421 districts centres in Afghanistan. These areas of 421 districts under the control of Taliban are increasingly strategic, running along the Afghanistan border along with the central Asian states.
Zabiullah Mujahid Taliban’s spokesman confirmed that the fall of districts was without the fights. In previous Taliban had surrendered to Afghan soldiers taking transportation cost and also returning their homes this has been clearly shown in a video which Zabiullah had shown it.
