Delta variant of Corona Virus is actively affecting nearly 100 countries now. WHO has recently said that this strain is going to affect the whole world dominantly in the recent months. This variant is highly transmissible, most dangerous among all the variants available and spread very rapidly as compared to the previous variant. WHO has recently said on June 29, in its weekly update of Covid-19 that the delta variant is currently reported in 96 countries and it is possible that this number is even more as the existing capacity to identify the variant is limited. It said the measures, the medicines, precautions, and tools, which were taken globally to control the spread of coronavirus, will also be affective to control this new rising situation. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director-General of WHO has said that, the organization is very concerned about the Delta variant and it is spreading mainly in unvaccinated populations. He has shown his concern about the eased social restrictions in various countries as there was higher transmissions in all over the world earlier.
