The Taliban has taken over Afghanistan. The whole world is constantly talking to the Taliban to take care of humanity in Afghanistan. Between all this, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn have taken a prominent step. These social media Hercules are ensuring the accounts of Afghan citizens to shield them from the Taliban.
Nathaniel GleicherFacebook’s security policy chief gave this news in a tweet. As per Gleicher’s tweet, the social media company has transitorily removed the facility to view or search a list of accounts of friends of people in Afghanistan.
Also, Facebook launches a “one-click tool” for users to close their accounts in Afghanistan. It indicates that people who aren’t their Facebook friends won’t see their Timeline posts or share their profile photos.
On the other hand, Twitter has said that it is in constant touch with civil society in Afghanistan to assist the people there. It is also striving with the Internet Archive to help direct calls to remove the tweets.
