The date of next year’s presidential election in France has been officially announced.
A government spokesman said the first round of the presidential election would be held on April 10 next year and the second on April 24.
It was noted that after the presidential elections, parliamentary elections will be held in the country on June 12 and 19.
Many politicians have been critical of election dates. They noted that election dates coincide with the holiday season and will negatively affect voter turnout in regions with right-wing and far-right parties.
