Clean Your Fridge Coils for Better Cooling
If your fridge is not cooling properly, it is a clear indicator that the coils need to be cleaned. Gently clean the coils using a vacuum cleaner with an attached brush. This will help clear loose dust and debris.
Move the brush back and forth until you clear the accumulated dust from the coils, the surrounding area, and any nearby components. Coils may be located either at the back or underneath your refrigerator.
You might want to move your refrigerator away from the wall to reach the coils if they are at the back. If the coils are underneath, you can remove a grille or kick plate that is usually located at the front bottom of the refrigerator. The front grille can be removed using a screwdriver. Sometimes, it might just snap off. Clean refrigerator coils improve cooling, which in turn helps you save on your energy bills. Contact us for fridge repair in Grand Prairie.
Dryer not heating? Unclog your lint filter
Do you think your dryer is struggling to dry your clothes? Check if your lint filter is clogged. Test this by pouring water over the filter. If it is still holding water, the dryer is not functioning properly. Frequently cleaning the lint filter after each use improves dryer efficiency and minimizes the risk of fire hazards.
Generally, the lint filter is found on top of the dryer, just inside the door, or in the door opening. Gently remove the lint filter and use your fingers or a soft brush to take out lint and debris. Make sure to thoroughly rinse the filter with warm, soapy water. You can also use a dryer lint cleaner to wipe out any remaining lint from the filter slot.
Say No to Noisy Washers and Dryers
Install rubber anti-vibration pads under the feet of washers and dryers to reduce noise. Without these, your appliances may vibrate on the floor, sending noise throughout the house.
Safety Precautions
Unplug the refrigerator and dryer before you start fixing any issues.
